Inveraray Castle has been home to the Duke of Argyll, Chief of Clan Campbell, since the 17th century. The castle is located on the shore of Loch Fyne in Inveraray, county Argyll, Western Scotland.
Sir Duncan Campbell built the first castle here in 1450. The current structure was built in 1746 and was designed by the architects Roger Morris and William Adam.
